The education department regularly offers one-day professional development workshops that focus on integrating primary artifacts—maps, newspapers, journals, paintings, sheet music, and photography—into the social studies curriculum.
Upcoming Workshops
Teaching American History Workshops: a collaboration between Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, Algiers Charter School Association, and The Historic New Orleans Collection. These workshops are currently filled. However, if you are interested in having The Historic New Orleans Collection host a workshop for your organization please contact Sue Laudeman.
