Tribute Gifts
Given in the name of a loved one, tribute gifts are unique expressions of thoughtfulness. At The Collection, there are two types of tribute gifts: Honor and Memorial Gifts.
An Honor Gift recognizes a person on a special occasion, such as a birthday, wedding or anniversary.
A Memorial Gift offers a meaningful way to pay lasting tribute to the memory of a loved one while also extending sympathy to the family.
Your loved one or their family will receive a special acknowledgment that recognizes the honoree and the donor. The amount of your gift remains confidential.
Bookplate Program
Your donation will be used to purchase a book which will be marked with a commemorative bookplate listing your name, another individual or family.
Book donations to public schools and libraries
In 1976, second-grader Brian K. Mitchell told his classmates about his ancestor, Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Oscar J. Dunn. “Brian, I think you’re mistaken,” responded his teacher. “There have been no Black governors or lieutenant governors.” Mitchell’s powerful response is now in print: Monumental: Oscar Dunn and His Radical Fight in Reconstruction Louisiana.
The books we read shape the history we know—and the world we make. Please help us in our efforts to distribute Monumental to public schools and libraries.
Planned Giving
Planned giving has become a powerful tool in estate management, due to its many benefits and the variety of charitable giving avenues.
