Abstract : April 3, 1772. Saint-Malo. Letter from De Boynes, Minister of the Navy. Writing begins on March 26, 1772 and records the end of the duty exemption for Louisiana goods. "Even though the merchants here have not fitted out ships for this colony for many years, we are nonetheless appreciative of the honor His Highness does us in informing us of decisions relative to the health of maritime trade."
