Abstract : May 11, 1726. Paris. Memoir of Company of the Indies for Beauharnais [Beauharnois]. Attitude of the government with reference to the war against the Foxes was injurious to Louisiana. Indians should not be led to think interests of Louisiana and Canada are different. Policy to be observed toward the Foxes. Friendship and dependence of all Indians along the line of communication between Canada and Louisiana must be preserved, or the worst may be feared from the English. The Wabash post to be established with that end in view. 9 pp. AC., B 43:607. (LC.)
