Writing begins on June 11, 1762 and affirms the extensions, until peace be declared, of the import duties \"on supplies and goods shipped from Louisiana: we are delighted to see the care with which Monsignor plans to treat this important colony; we do not doubt that the new arrangements he plans for the peace will serve to clear and make profitable this rich and immense colony.\" Correspondence of the consuls, 1758-1767.
