Since 2022, DAGS has partnered with the Black Craftspeople Digital Archive for paid undergraduate internships during the fall semester. Two history majors work at THNOC, researching and recording biographical information on free and enslaved craftspeople of color who lived and worked in New Orleans. The internship is an opportunity for aspiring historians to learn the basics of archival research and get a behind-the-scenes look at museum operations.
Applications for the next internships will open in May 2024.
