ARTICLES AND SERIAL PUBLICATIONS

The Williams Research Center has full runs of relevant scholarly journals that shed light on the Battle of New Orleans and related characters and events. In particular, the Louisiana Historical Quarterly, Louisiana History, and the Journal of Southern History have treated diverse aspects of the battle. All are indexed. The Journal of the War of 1812 specializes in the broader subject, and is certainly worth a look. Other periodicals can be searched at the Williams Research Center via the Bayou State Periodicals Index. The William and Mary Quarterly can also be consulted electronically.
