Its galleries extend at the second and third floors, and the main entrance has a crossette enframement in the Greek Revival mode. There is a detached two-story service building. Note: structure was designed in 1842 by J.N.B. De Pouilly and his partner Ernest Godchaux for Louis Joseph L. Edouard Bertus, a well-known New Orleans dancing master.
