“Making it Home” Community Day

Community members of all ages are invited to celebrate the opening of HNOC’s new exhibition Making It Home: From Vietnam to New Orleans, with a day of family-friendly activities exploring Vietnamese migration to the Crescent City. Admission is free and open to the public and no registration is required.

- 1:45 p.m. - NOLA Nite Market presents Rising Dragon Lion Dance Team
The Shop at the Collection will have items featuring traditional Vietnamese iconography, local art created by Vietnamese makers, and a pop-up “vending machine” with mini prints depicting Vietnamese cultural elements.
The Caféwill feature menu items from Dough Nguyener’s throughout the month of April, including specials made with groceries from Veggi Farmers Cooperative in New Orleans East, a Vietnamese-run farm.
