Holiday Closures
HNOC’s museum, shop, café, research center, and offices are closed for the following holidays:
- New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Mardi Gras Weekend, Lundi Gras, and Mardi Gras Day
- Easter Sunday
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
2026 Mardi Gras Hours & Closures
HNOC’s museum, research center, shop, cafe, and offices will observe the following adjusted hours and closures during Carnival season:
- February 6–8: closed at 3:30 p.m.
- February 11: closed at 3:30 p.m.
- February 12: closed at 2:30 p.m.
- February 13: closed at 1 p.m.
- February 14–17: closed all day
