Join us on select Friday evenings throughout the year as we bring HNOC’s French Quarter courtyard to life with happy hours, live music, curated experiences, and more—your ideal first stop for a night in the Quarter! French Quarter Fridays are always free for HNOC members.
We are excited to offer two ways to experience French Quarter Fridays: Courtyard Sessions and History on the Rocks.
Courtyard Sessions
HNOC presents an exclusive series of courtyard concerts showcasing Louisiana’s musical heritage, featuring renowned local artists in two back-to-back 45-minute sets. Courtyard Sessions offer standing room only; seating is reserved for attendees with accessibility needs. Admission is free for HNOC members and $10 for nonmembers.
History on the Rocks
Cocktails and history pair perfectly at this after-hours celebration! Explore select HNOC exhibitions until 7 p.m. at your own pace in a lively social setting. Enjoy happy hour–priced drinks and engaging activities including curated experiences, themed nights, entertainment, and more. Admission is free and open to the public.

Tips for Attendees
- Courtyard Sessions offer standing room only; seating is reserved for attendees with accessibility needs.
- HNOC has a cashless bar. Please bring a credit or debit card for food and drink purchases.
- HNOC members receive one (1) free drink ticket for a glass of wine or champagne.
- Restrooms are available on-site.
- No chairs or blankets are allowed in the courtyard.
- HNOC only permits trained service animals (as defined by the ADA) inside museum facilities. Pets and emotional support animals (ESAs) are not permitted.
