Trip Overview
Whether you’re passionate about early American history, colonial architecture, or the decorative arts, this trip promises fascinating discoveries and memorable moments at some of the nation’s most significant historic destinations.
Over five days, travelers will tour historic sites including the grand Governor’s Palace, accompanied by expert guides who bring the Revolutionary era to life. Visit the newly opened Colin G. and Nancy N. Campbell Archaeology Center to find artifacts and stories uncovered beneath Williamsburg’s streets.
Journey along the scenic James River for private tours of two magnificent 18th-century estates, Historic Westover and Shirley Plantation, where you’ll explore grand architecture and grounds steeped in colonial history.
Savor an authentic colonial dining experience at Shields Tavern and connect with fellow history enthusiasts at a private cocktail reception.
