A Journey to Southeast Asia
The Historic New Orleans Collection is delighted to announce its annual international journey, which in 2026 will focus on the incredibly rich cultural heritage of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Join us for an unforgettable journey to Southeast Asia’s mainland—one of the world’s most complex places. Marked by inestimable natural beauty, stunning architecture, numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites, painful tragedy and vibrant, resilient cultures, Vietnam and Cambodia will no doubt make a strong impression on you, and our experience will surely stay with you well after you return home.
During our two-week sojourn, we will witness the most artistic, historic, and scenic areas of Vietnam and Cambodia and acquaint you with renowned historians, preservationists, chefs, craftspeople, and artists. We will enjoy music and dance performances, a cooking lesson with a renowned chef, and special tours with leading experts in their fields.

Trip Overview
We begin in Hanoi, where we discover the grandeur of the former French Indochina and experience the bustle of daily life in the picturesque streets of Hanoi’s French Quarter and Old Quarter.
We travel to the former imperial capital city of Hue and explore the tombs of past emperors, which feature exquisite glass and ceramic mosaics—masterpieces of Vietnamese artisans.
We then move south to Saigon—now known as Ho Chi Minh City—where we experience first-hand its industrial and artistic renaissance, and we visit places meaningful to the veterans in our group.
The program concludes in Cambodia, where we commune with one of the world’s greatest civilizations, the Khmer empire at Angkor.
