Live the Revolution
Immerse yourself in interactive 3-D reconstructions of the defining moments of the American Revolution in a new exhibition designed and produced by Histovery, a French technology firm.
Using a HistoPad—an interactive tablet—travel to Boston for a tea party, Philadelphia to sign the Declaration of Independence, Yorktown to declare victory, and, of course, Versailles to sign a treaty. Along the way, meet the diverse cast of thinkers, leaders, soldiers, and everyday men and women who made this incredible story happen.
History In Your Hands
Your journey begins with the HistoPad, a touchscreen tablet and your window into the past. Use it to scan displays in the exhibition to explore full 360°, 3-D reconstructions of key moments from the revolution. Zoom in on objects of interest, learn about key historical figures, and even participate in a treasure hunt to uncover hidden extras.
A Story for Everyone
Developed with a team of leading historians and scholars, the exhibition celebrates figures—both well and lesser known—who shaped the United States. American Revolution is an engaging opportunity to explore the revolution in a fresh way that is tailored for all ages in multiple languages (French, Spanish, and German).
Uncover Local Narratives
Beyond the thirteen colonies, discover the pivotal role played by the Gulf South in the American Revolution. Learn about how New Orleans—then a Spanish colony—served as a secret logistical hub for the Continental Army. Follow the military campaign of Spanish governor Bernardo de Gálvez and his multicultural coalition of free men of color, Acadians, and Indigenous volunteers as they score momentous victories against the British—from New Orleans to Pensacola.
