Educators are invited to a free workshop, hosted by our education department, that will help deepen student experiences and understanding of the Civil Rights Movement in New Orleans through HNOC’s exhibition The Trail They Blazed

The workshop is open to educators of all grade levels and subject areas. The schedule of activities includes modeling and demonstrating lesson plans, discussion of reading assignments, small-group collaborative brainstorming, and tours of the exhibition.

Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided. All attendees will leave the workshop with a list of additional online and print resources for further exploration.  

Admission is free, but registration is required (space is limited).
