New Orleans in Film & Television
Learn about the role of New Orleans in film history and what the silver screen has—and hasn’t—gotten right about the city.
In this fun piece of film history, we examine depictions of New Orleans and Louisiana on the big screen. HNOC’s large collection of historic movie posters helps to illustrate the survey, covering Belizaire the Cajun to Anne Rice adaptations and lesser-known fare. This presentation was created by Chayla Wolfberg, HNOC Derven Scholar and student at Tulane University.
