In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, HNOC kicks off its Courtyard Sessions concert series with Catie Rodgers and her Swing Orchestra featuring special guest Lena Prima! Bring your dancing shoes and enjoy tunes from the Great American Songbook, including hits by Louis Prima, in two back-to-back 45-minute sets. A cashless bar will be available (credit and debit card sales only).
Admission is free for HNOC members and $10 for nonmembers. Standing room only; seating is reserved for guests with accessibility needs.
Courtyard Sessions are presented as part of French Quarter Fridays, featuring live music, happy hours, and engaging activities in HNOC’s French Quarter courtyard.

- Courtyard Sessions offer standing room only; seating is reserved for attendees with accessibility needs.
- HNOC has a cashless bar. Please bring a credit or debit card for food and drink purchases.

- Restrooms are available on-site.
- No chairs or blankets are allowed in the courtyard.
- HNOC only permits trained service animals (as defined by the ADA) inside museum facilities. Pets and emotional support animals (ESAs) are not permitted.

Catie Rodgers and Her Swing Orchestra
Catie Rodgers and Her Swing Orchestra specializes in the music of Count Basie and frequently plays to packed houses of swing dancers. Catie created the band after studying with the great Bobby Watson in Kansas City and experiencing the vibrant big band culture there. Many members of the Swing Orchestra are also swing dancers, giving the music a particular groove. The band prides itself on being one of the most diverse swing orchestras in existence and is dedicated to bringing magic and fun throughout the world.

Lena Prima is a powerhouse vocalist, songwriter, and performer whose music radiates joy, soul, and a deep reverence for her roots. The youngest daughter of legendary performer Louis Prima, Lena carries forward a rich musical legacy while forging her own dynamic path in the world of swing, jazz, and rock, all with a signature New Orleans flair. With eight albums—including a Billboard Jazz Top Ten release from Basin Street Records—Lena has brought her high-energy performances to stages across the US and Europe.
