Beyond Bourbon St. Podcast Explores “Making It Home” Exhibition

Host Mark Bologna sat down with Senior Historian Mark Cave to discuss the making of HNOC’s exhibition about Vietnamese immigration to New Orleans.
“In 2015, we did a study of our holdings and we realized [HNOC] didn’t have anything that really documented the experience of Vietnamese refugees here in the city. And so we reached out to Mary Queen of Vietnam Church, initially, and they helped us create a program where we interviewed elders in that community . . . The exhibition that we have is based on those initial 25 interviews.”
