WDSU: Vietnamese Americans Leave Long-Lasting Impact in Jefferson Parish

“According to Cave, Catholic Charites worked with families and strategically moved them to New Orleans East and the Westbank of Jefferson Parish. He says the goal was to create specific communities in order for families to have support. For the next decade, the population grew as the new communities attracted Vietnamese families in other states to settle in the greater New Orleans area.”
