New Orleans CityBusiness: Historic New Orleans Collection Opens Bunny Matthews Retrospective
August 6, 2026
The exhibition “Bunny Matthews: His Art, Life, and Obsessions” and its companion book will debut on September 18, 2026.
“The exhibition draws heavily from the Bunny Matthews Archive, which HNOC acquired following the artist’s death. The archive includes more than 800 original drawings, letters and other materials. HNOC said it has collected Matthews’ work since 1979 . . . . The exhibition will debut alongside the publication of Bunny Matthews: His Life, Art, and Obsessions, the first biography and monograph devoted to the artist.”
