NOLA Now: The Historic New Orleans Collection Debuts New Powerful Exhibit
April 22, 2025
Host Shelby Latino welcomed senior curator Mark Cave to discuss HNOC’s new exhibition “Making It Home: From Vietnam to New Orleans.”
“I think with immigrant communities, the time to document is limited. The second generation becomes ‘American’ and moves away . . . . that specialness of an immigrant community within a major American city only lasts for a generation or two, and so we wanted to document that experience for posterity.”
Mark Cave, HNOC senior historian
